MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Winchester Gardens, a senior living community in Maplewood, recently announced that it has once again earned the highest vote of confidence from CARF, an international nonprofit accreditor that sets standards of excellence for health and human service organizations.
An organization receiving a five-year term of accreditation has voluntarily put itself through a rigorous peer review process and demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site survey that it is committed to conforming to CARF’s CCRC accreditation conditions and standards, according to a press release. Furthermore, an organization that earns CARF accreditation is commended on its quest for quality programs and services.
At Winchester Gardens, CARF reviewers made note of the mutual respect and family feeling among residents and staff; the community being clean and well maintained even amid construction; residents being aware of and involved in planning; residents, families and employees being engaged in the LivWell health and wellness philosophy; the extensive transition period for new residents; and the compassionate assisted living staff, according to the release.
