VERONA, NJ — With the summer months and vacations having just passed, Verona’s Holy Spirit Food Pantry inventory is low. To get the pantry ready for its next open day on Saturday, Sept. 24, it is having a “pop-up pantry drop” this Sunday, Sept. 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring your donations to the Church of the Holy Spirit, 36 Gould St. in Verona.
Currently, the pantry is in need of cereal, oatmeal, snack packs, juice and juice boxes, facial tissues, cleaning products, boxed milk, granola and cereal bars, coffee, crackers, cookies and personal care items like shampoo, deodorant, shaving cream and lotions. The pantry already has plenty of canned beans, canned soup, canned veggies, pasta and pasta sauce.
