Abbott discusses West Orange’s Operation HOPE program

WEST ORANGE, NJ — West Orange Police Chief James Abbott recently spoke at a luncheon about the township’s own pre-arrest diversion program, Operation HOPE. Ammon Labs, in collaboration with Police, Treatment and Community Collaborative, sponsored the luncheon on “Pre-Arrest Diversion Programs for Law Enforcement and Addiction Treatment Executives.” More than 150 people were in attendance.

Operation HOPE is a voluntary program dedicated to reducing the impact of heroin, opiate and all drug and alcohol abuse on the community by encouraging those who suffer from addiction to seek treatment.
