WEST ORANGE, NJ — United Presbyterian Church of West Orange is encouraging people to come on Saturday, March 12, to donate blood and treat themselves to a bounty of bagels, fruit, sandwiches and snacks, all provided by the church’s volunteers. Community Blood Services’ state-of-the-art Bloodmobile will be on the church campus from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
To be a blood donor, you must be at least 16 years old, must know your social security number and have a photo or signed ID; 16- and 17-year-olds must have signed parental consent forms and proof of age. Anyone older than 75 must be in good health and have a doctor’s note saying it’s OK to donate blood.
