WEST ORANGE, NJ — The Friends of the West Orange Public Library will hold a fall book sale on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, Oct. 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is a once-in-a-lifetime, collector-level event, according to Friends. A great selection of thousands of books will be for sale at low, low prices, most ranging from $1 to $2. The sale supports Friends’ goal of raising fund for creating an instructional space in the library offering English classes for speakers of other languages.
The Friends will be accepting book donations through Sept. 17. Books need to be new or gently used, and all genres are accepted except textbooks. Study guides, such as for the GED, SAT, GMAT and ASVAB, must be recent and unmarked. Book donations are limited to one box or bag and will be accepted at the Front Desk of the library, 46 Mt. Pleasant Ave.
