WEST ORANGE, NJ — Chana’le Kasowitz, middle, teaches the art of havdalah candle-making after a lesson about havdalah was led by her mother, Chabad of West Orange co-director Altie Kasowitz, to her left, on Saturday evening, Oct 20.
Chabad of West Orange invites all women to participate in a Rosh Chodesh Society Lesson once a month. This year’s theme, “Larger Than Life,” shines a spotlight on the Torah view of social and ethical responsibilities. The lessons are often accompanied by a craft or activity/mitzvah like challah baking.
