WEST ORANGE, NJ — Circle of Rainbow Sisters Seeking Spiritual and Wellness Connection is holding its annual fundraiser, “Women Who Rock the Kitchen,” on Sunday, March 25, from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Tarnoff Cafeteria at West Orange High School, 51 Conforti Ave.
Monies raised will go toward the organization’s Financial Readiness Academic Scholarship Award Program. The fundraising goal of $10,000 plus $2,000 for books will benefit six juniors and six seniors demonstrating financial readiness skills, financial need and a grade-point average of 3.0 or better in financial literacy in math and language arts, if offered at their high school.
The top six juniors and seniors with the most convincing financial readiness essay responses and impressive panel interview will be awarded the respective Scholarship Award.
Application and grade submission runs from May 1 through May 31 and interviews will be held in June. The scholarship is supported by Mayor Robert Parisi and the West Orange School District.
Tickets are $35.00 prior to the event and $45.00 at the door. Attendees will enjoy an appetizer, main course, side dishes, and desserts. “Women Who Rock the Kitchen” will be hosted by musical artist Denise Hamilton.
