WEST ORANGE, NJ — The second St. Cloud Cares Neighborhood Food Drive will be Saturday, April 23. All collected items will be delivered to the West Orange Food Pantry, housed at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, which regularly experiences precipitous drops in stock during the summer months.
Orange fliers have been distributed to St. Cloud neighborhood homes, requesting that the food be left at the doorstep by 9 am. Displaying the orange flier will assist volunteers in identifying the non-perishable donations. Especially needed are: hearty soups, tuna, cereal and canned fruit.
On April 23, volunteers are needed to collect the food, to sort the food at the collection site — the basement fellowship hall of the United Presbyterian Church of West Orange, 20 Old Indian Road — and to deliver the food to the pantry. Donations from beyond the St. Cloud neighborhood will also be gladly accepted at UPCWO the week prior to the drive, and by 2 p.m. on April 23 itself.
