Former WOPD officer heads to the UK on Fulbright

WO-James Drylie-WWEST ORANGE, NJ — Jim Drylie, a retired West Orange police officer, has been selected for a prestigious scholarship award, the U.S.-U.K. Fulbright, and he will be in the United Kingdom for the fall of 2016 studying the use of deadly force involving police in the United Kingdom.

Drylie retired from the West Orange Police Department in 2006 at the rank of captain and he was the director of the department from 1996 through 1998. After retiring, he entered academia and has been with Kean University since the fall of 2006.
