WEST ORANGE, NJ — Washington Elementary School first-grade teacher Patricia Villarosa, who was struck by a car while crossing Pleasant Valley Way on Feb. 26 on her way to a Board of Education meeting, died March 9.
A funeral Mass for Villarosa, 64, nee Cerreto, of West Orange, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in West Orange. Interment will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Visiting will be held on Tuesday, March 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St., Montclair.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Stjude.org would be appreciated.
In addition to the above, Father Jim Ferry of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, located at 1 Eagle Rock Ave. in West Orange, has arranged for the main church to be open Monday, March 12, between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. for mourners to stop by and say a prayer or bring a flower memento for Villarosa.
