GOA CodeRunners excel at robotics tournament

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The CodeRunners, Golda Och Academy’s high school robotics team, advanced to the FIRST Tech Challenge NJ State Championship after a qualifier the weekend of Dec. 8. The team won three out of five matches and was ranked No. 11 out of 30 teams. They also competed in the semi-final and final alliance games and won both. At the closing ceremony, the CodeRunners received a Winning Alliance trophy. In addition, they were nominated for five Awards in Control, Design, Innovate, Inspire and Motivate, and received a trophy for the Motivate Award. GOA is the only Jewish day school in New Jersey that competes in the FIRST Tech Challenge.
