WEST ORANGE, NJ — The second Greater Northern NJ Heart Walk will be Sunday, Oct. 22, at the South Mountain Recreation Complex in West Orange. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with the kids’ heart challenge at 9:30 and the walk at 10. Proceeds will be used to raise awareness and support prevention of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
“Essex County has been a long-time partner with us and we look forward to Essex County’s team participating every year,” Chairwoman Ametra Burton said in a press release.

Participants in these events can receive admission discounts to Turtle Back Zoo, Codey Arena and the miniGOLF Safari in West Orange. The reduced admission is available on event days and participants must bring their race bib or proof of registration to receive the discount.
