JFS MetroWest offers parenting workshop

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Jewish Family Service of MetroWest in conjunction with Greater MetroWest ABLE is presenting “What About Me?” — a parenting workshop to support siblings of children with special needs — on Thursday, Nov. 17, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the JCC MetroWest, 760 Northfield Ave. in West Orange. This workshop will help parents support their typically developing children.

The workshop will address how to balance the needs of everyone in the family. Parents will learn to recognize and manage the complex emotions involved in having a special needs sibling. The workshop will be facilitated by licensed clinical social worker Jodi Fox.
