NEWARK, NJ — The Rutgers School of Law-Newark Alumni Association will hold its annual recognition gala and cocktail reception on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 15 Washington St. in Newark, the site of the former Rutgers Law School building, which recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation.
The Rutgers School of Law-Newark Alumni Association will honor three remarkable law school graduates: Mark A. Angelson, the former CEO of RR Donnelley and deputy mayor of Chicago, vice chairman of the Joseph Biden Foundation and the Institute of International Education, chairman of the Rutgers Board of Governors Committee on Finance and Facilities, and the first-ever recipient of the Rutgers Law School Alumni Leadership Award; Lucinda P. Long of West Orange, senior vice president and general counsel of Valley National Bank, who is being recognized with the Distinguished Alumna Award; and Jane M. Hanson, executive director of Partners for Women and Justice, a nonprofit based out of Montclair, who will be honored with the Fannie Bear Bresser Award for Public Service.
This year’s gala will be an elegant cocktail-style reception conducive to networking in the newly-restored Great Hall at 15 Washington St., which was the location of the law school from 1979 to 2000. Guests are invited to register online at http://rutgersalumniassociation.cvent.com/2016gala.
