Medication education, turn-in event in WO

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Health Department and West Orange Police Department are sponsoring a brown bag event for senior citizens, presented by ADAPT, the Essex Prevention Coalition. On Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. to noon at the John P. Renna Jr. House Community Room, 10 Gaston St. in West Orange, seniors are invited to receive prescription medication education and turn in unwanted drugs.

Bring your prescription and over-the-counter medications to be reviewed with a pharmacist. ADAPT will collect and dispose of unused medications. The event will provide education on misuse of medications, issues with medication theft and abuse, and overall health and wellness, as well as a free one-on-one consultation with a registered pharmacist tailored to you and your specific medication needs.

Come and enjoy refreshments and giveaways. Call the West Orange Health Center at 973-325-4136 to register.
