Orange man arrested in WO car break-ins

WEST ORANGE, NJ — West Orange police arrested a 22-year-old Orange man in connection to several car break-ins on the western end of town, according to a recent press release.

Police apprehended the suspect when a Rutgers Street resident called police just before 7 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, to report a man going through yards and breaking into vehicles.

Officers arriving at the scene, pursued the suspect on foot and arrested him on Cornell Street.

Police are continuing to investigate and are working with surrounding towns to determine if the suspect is connected to several break-ins in other West Essex towns, including Livingston, Roseland, Caldwell and East Hanover.
