WEST ORANGE, NJ — On Thursday, Nov. 16, the United Way of Essex and West Hudson will host its first Power of the Purse Luncheon and Auction featuring personal finance expert Tiffany “The Budgetnista” Aliche. The Power of the Purse initiative will connect a diverse, dynamic and dedicated network of women and community leaders throughout the Greater Newark area to fundraise for the Financial Empowerment Center of UWEWH. The event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Wilshire Grand Hotel, 350 Pleasant Valley Way in West Orange.
“I’m so excited Tiffany will be our keynote speaker for the Power of the Purse,” UWEWH President and CEO Catherine Wilson said in a press release. “Tiffany’s experience and wisdom has inspired women all over the world to tap into the power of their purses. Her ability to empower our local community is unmatched and we look forward to hearing her inspiration.”
