WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange High School Principal’s Scholarship fundraiser, “Pocketbook Bingo,” netted $2,000 for graduating seniors and put smiles on the faces of all who attended.

More than 65 attendees enjoyed an evening of bingo, desserts and fun as numbers were called and winners collected their Coach or Michael Kors handbags at the Nov. 17 event.

“Candy Myrick and Paula Petrucelli called the numbers,” Debi Zarro, who helped to coordinate the event with Lisa Scalora and Carol Fastiggi, said, “and everyone had so much fun that we hope to do this event annually.”

West Orange High School Principal Hayden Moore stopped in to say hello as he took babysitting duties so his wife, Sarah, could attend.

“Everyone is so happy tonight,” he said, “and it’s great to know that we raised money for the Principal’s Scholarship Fund.”
