WEST ORANGE, NJ — Every year, Santa Claus tours the various neighborhoods of West Orange just after Thanksgiving to “ring in the season.” This year’s event will be Sunday, Nov. 25.
In past years the tour wound its way through various neighborhoods in town, but this year’s Santa Tour has scheduled stops at each of the West Orange School District’s elementary schools. Santa and his entourage of elves, along with some special vehicles, are coming to Redwood at 1:15 p.m., Kelly at 1:45 p.m., Mt. Pleasant at 2:15 p.m., St. Cloud at 2:45 p.m., Gregory at 3:15 p.m., Hazel at 3:45 p.m. and Washington at 4:15 p.m. The tour will spend approximately 15 minutes at each school, posing for pictures and giving each child a candy cane.
