NEWARK, NJ — Seton Hall Preparatory School is West Orange held the Baccalaureate Mass and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, May 21, at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark, to recognize exceptional students. The following day, May 22, the school held its 156th commencement exercises at Caldwell University’s George R. Newman Center.
The awards were presented to students by faculty members, as well as SHP President Msgr. Michael E. Kelly and Headmaster Msgr. Robert E. Harahan.
Adam O. Yawdoszyn of South Orange was awarded the Hugo Senerchia Humanities Medallion and the Biology Medallion; Liam G. Doerr of South Orange was awarded the Richard E. Binkowski Cinema Studies Medallion and the Theresa A. Neglia Medallion for Excellence in Theater Arts; Vincent Miller of West Orange was awarded the Dr. Richard Scaine ’52 Medallion for Excellence in Environmental Science; and Jaris B. Owens of East Orange was awarded the Edward Jennings Medallion for Literary Achievement.
