‘Voices of Diversity, Uniting for Change’

WEST ORANGE, NJ — United Presbyterian Church of West Orange will sponsor ‘Voices of Diversity, Uniting for Change’ to celebrate the ethnic, racial, social and religious diversity of West Orange and the country through music, dance, testimonials and food on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 20 Old Indian Road in West Orange. Voter registration applications will be available at this free, public event, along with information on social and environmental issues.

This event was inspired by the song “Resist,” by musician Kim Moberg, encouraging Americans to push for reasonable and humane solutions to issues vital to the health and well-being of the this nation through voting and legislation.

Event participants and attendees include Mayor Robert Parisi, members of the West Orange Township Council, and representatives from the West Orange Hispanic Foundation, Gay/Straight Alliance, West Orange African Heritage Organization, West Orange Public Library, League of Women Voters and West Orange Arts Council, among others.
