WEST ORANGE, NJ — The award-winning West Orange High School Marching Mountaineers have spent a good portion of their summer rehearsing this season’s new routine, “Into a New World,” and the program is expected to debut at the Friday, Sept. 14, home game against Don Bosco Prep, beginning at 7 p.m.

According to Band Director Lew Kelly, “Into a New World” will feature “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” by Tears for Fears; “Symphony No. 9 – From the New World,” by Antonin Dvorak; and “Overture to a New World,” by Bjork.

The Marching Mountaineers performed the routine for parents Aug. 17 after their return from band camp. This year’s drum majors are senior Orianna Carter and junior Anika Fernandes.
