WOHS percussion team takes first place in US Bands Competition

The WOHS indoor percussion members display their trophy.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Percussion Ensemble took first place in their Division 2A Standstill Class at the US Bands Competition held April 24 at Lehigh University.

The ensemble received a score of 92.675. This is their fifth year of competition and their first division win. Their director is Michael Denburg, assistant director of the Mountaineer Marching Band and a math teacher at West Orange High School.
