WOPD calls for help to ‘put brakes on fatalities’

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Police Department urges motorists throughout the township to join a daylong effort Monday, Oct. 10, designed to increase awareness about safe driving behaviors and to keep roadways fatality-free for one day. Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day is an initiative designed to unite the country in moving toward zero fatalities for one full day by encouraging motorists to obey all traffic laws, including wearing seat belts, driving the speed limit, avoiding distractions such as texting while driving and staying sober behind the wheel.
