WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange School District is offering all district parents and the extended community an important opportunity to attend “Raising Resilient Teens in Challenging Times,” a presentation providing information on the warning signs of suicide, on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Roosevelt Middle School, 36 Gilbert Place.
The program is provided free of charge and in partnership with The Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide. Parents of students in elementary, as well as middle school and high school, are urged to attend. The presentation will offer strategies for talking to teens, understanding the warning signs of suicide, and provide local resources than can help.
