Geraldine Volpe (nee Iovino), 69, of Bloomfield passed away on Wednesday August 10, 2016 at Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the O’Boyle Funeral Home, 309 Broad St. Bloomfield on Monday at 9:00 AM. The Funeral will be offered at St Anthony of Padua Church in Belleville at10:30 AM. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation is on Sunday from 2-6 PM. Please express condolences at
Born in Newark, Geraldine lived in East Orange and the last 40 years in Bloomfield. She worked as a Lunch Program Coordinator at Berkeley School in Bloomfield.
She was the wife of the late Leonard J. Volpe for 34 years; mother of Martin and his fiance Michele, Marc, and Michael and his fiance Lauren; sister of Arlene Volpe and the late Linda Trapasso; and grandmother of Nicholas, Joseph, Marley, Marilena, Ariana, Massimo and Casandra who is due in October.
