Joseph Peter Vaccaro, 92, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Windsor Gardens Health Care in East Orange.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the O’Boyle Funeral Home 309 Broad St. Bloomfield on Thursday at 10 AM. Entombment with Military Honors at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation ison Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Please express condolences at
Born in Newark, Joseph lived most of his life in Nutley and Bloomfield. He served his Country during WWII in the U.S. Marine Corps. He graduated Rutgers University with a degree in Political Science and was a Claims Adjuster for over 20 years.
Joseph was the son of the late Frank and Rose (Scaglione) Vaccaro; brother of Angelo Vaccaro of Bloomfield, nephew of Angelo Ippolito of Nutley and the late Joseph Scaglione, Fredrick “Bucky” Ippolito, and Salvatore “Zab” Ippolito; uncle of JoAnn Chalet-Furnari of Bloomfield, Rosemary Cerracchio of Bloomfield and Christina Vaccaro-McFeely of East Stroudsburg, PA and the late Dr. Michelangelo Vaccaro. He is also survived by 5 great nieces and nephews and 2 great-great nephews.
