Alison M. Bogert, 88, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at home in Belleville, N.J.

Born in Bloomington, Indiana, Mrs. Bogert was a lifelong resident of Belleville.
She attended the New York School of Performing Arts and became a ballroom and jitterbug dance instructor. She retired from the Belleville Board of Education where she worked as a secretary at Belleville High School.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family dearly and looked forward to visits from her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. They were a constant source of love and comfort to her and she was so proud of all the accomplishments the have achieved. Whenever any of us were confronted with an obstacle, she never hesitated to remind us, “It’s not easy”.
She was the wife of the late Charles Francis Bogert Jr., mother of Charles Francis Bogert III and wife Jill of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Constance Patricia Bogert of Belleville, N.J., grandmother of Louis DePasquale III and his wife Jaclyn of North Arlington, Amber Lynne DePasquale of North Arlington, Michael Bogert and his wife Ana of Howell, N.J., Yvette Bogert of Howell, Andrew Bogert and his wife Ashley of Sprague, CT, and great grandmother of Joshua, Samantha, Mykayla, Kyra, Aria and Anson. She is predeceased by brother David Pitman and his wife Glorya and Robert Pitman and his wife Marie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
