Anthony J. Tamburro

Anthony J. Tamburro, 80, passed away at home in Bloomfield on Friday October 7, 2016.

   Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the O’Boyle Funeral Home, 309 Broad St. Bloomfield on Wednesday at 9 AM. The funeral mass will be offered at Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield at 10 AM. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be of Tuesday from 3-8 PM.    Born in Newark, Anthony lived in Bloomfield since 1969. He was a retired Draftsman for AT&T for 38 years. Prior to that, he worked at Western Electric in Kearny. He was also an Army Veteran, stationed in Germany during Peacetime.

   He was an avid Yankee and New York Giants Football Fan, Golfer as well as a Coach of the American Babe Ruth Team who was a 2 time town Champion for Zarro Funeral Home.

   Anthony was the Husband of Linda Roberts Tamburro, and the late Elisa Merola Tamburro; father of John and his wife Marybeth, Anthony and his wife Hilary, and the late Christopher; brother of the late Santa Vitiello; and grandfather of Elizabeth, John, Nicolas, Julian and Robert.
