Carmen “Bebe” Belleza Delgra of Davao City, Philippines and Belleville, NJ, USA passed away peacefully on July 8, 2021 at her home at the age of 93.
She was born in Cebu City, Philippines on February 5,1928. She graduated with a B.S. in Pharmacy from University of Sto. Tomas, Manila, Philippines. She had her own compounding pharmacy until she got married and moved to Davao City, Philippines.
She immigrated to the USA and lived in Belleville, NJ. for many years. Lovingly taking care of a number of elderly patients for many years as home health aide and retired at the age of 80. She loved to play the piano, always enjoyed crossword puzzles in her spare time, spending time working on her farm and loved to watch Jeopardy. She loved to travel and meet people and her personal interests ranged from politics to agriculture.
A life truly well lived, Carmen lived her life in simplicity, kindness and with a deep strong faith in God. Her love for her family knew no bounds, sacrificing her own needs over that of her family and praying for their welfare unceasingly. This strong sense of family in her, had endeared her with her siblings, relatives and friends whom she naturally developed strong yet close affinity and empathy.
She is the beloved wife of the late Atty. Martin Delgra, Jr.
She is survived by all her seven children, daughters-in-law and sons-in-law and eleven grandchildren and a brother and sister-in-law, and several cousins and nephews and nieces.
We fervently request that we remember her in our prayers, to thank God for the gift of life in her filled with love, happiness, sacrifice perseverance, kindness and music, with the hope that the good Lord will grant her the reward of eternal life in Heaven.
Visitation will be held at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Avenue, Bloomfield, N.J. on Wednesday July 14th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 120 Prospect St., Nutley, NJ. on Thursday, July 15th at 10:00 a.m. Cremation Services will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery-Crematory, 255 Main Avenue, Clifton, NJ.
