Carol Perna

Carol Perna (nee Alfonso) 89, entered into eternal peace on June 7, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Rocco Perna.
Carol was born on May 9, 1932 in Newark, NJ. She lived in Bloomfield, NJ for 55 years before moving to Brandywine in Watchung 5 years ago. She retired as Manager of the Family Superior Court of NJ in 1993 after 20 years of service.
She is survived by her children AnnaMaria DeAngelis of Bedminster, NJ; Louis of Bloomfield, and Rocco of Arizona (Harriet); granddaughters Dana DeAngelis of Bedminster and Jacqueline Alvarez of Florida; three great grandchildren, Emilio DeAngelis and Xavier and Leila Alvarez; sister Anna Abbott and brother Louis Alfonso (Talda). She was the daughter of the late Louis and Anna Alfonso, and was predeceased by her brother Paul.
Carol was a volunteer for many years at St Francis Xavier Church in Newark, the Bloomfield Public Library, and Mountainside Hospital in Montclair. She loved to cook and was an avid reader; but, more than anything, she loved her family.
