Carol Stahl Garben

  Mrs. Carol Stahl Garben died on Saturday, January 16, 2016 in Glen Ridge.

Visiting will be held in the Prout Funeral Home,

(www.proutfuneralhome.com) 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Thursday, January 21 from 10 am to 12 Noon, with a Service to follow at 12 Noon.

Burial will follow in the Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.

   Born in Newark, NJ  Mrs. Garben was a lifelong resident of Glen Ridge and was in the first class of the Forest Avenue School.

She graduated from Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, PA.

Mrs. Garben was a volunteer at Mountainside Hospital and Babies Hospital in Newark. She was a member of the Hilldale Park Presbyterian Church in Cedar Knolls

   She was the wife of the late Louis F. Garben, Jr., M.D., mother of Diane Brassler (Morgan), Louis F. Garben, III and Jacalyn Harrison (Brian) and the sister of Ret. Col. John J. Stahl and Dr. Donald Stahl. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
