Charles Edward Thompson, 65, of Bloomfield entered in to eternal rest on Saturday September 24, 2016 at Clara Maass Medical Center after a brief illness surrounded by his family and friends.
Born in Newark, he graduated from Essex Catholic High School in 1968. He was inducted to the US Army on March 5, 1970 and served honorably in Vietnam through his discharge on November 4, 1971. He worked for many years at Bristol Myers in Irvington. He was predeceased by his twin sister Ellen Marie (1958) and his parents Charles and Eleanor (McCormack) Thompson. He is survived by many cousins and loving friends.
Visiting will be on Friday September 30 from 10:00AM- 11:30AM at O’Boyle Funeral Home 309 Broad Street, Bloomfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:15PM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetary will be private.
