Mr. Donald Gerson, 87, of West Orange died Monday, April 25, 2016 at home. Services were heldApril 28, 2016 in Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman’s in Livingston, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Gerson lived in West Orange for most of his life. Mr. Gerson was a clothing manufacturer at Jane Darling Dress
in New York City before retiring.
A member of the West Orange Board of Education for 16 years, Mr. Gerson had been a past president of the South Mountain Lodge of B’nai Brith.
Predeceased by his wife, Louise and two sisters, . Ruth Anteles and Florence Shay, he is survived by his children and their spouses, Fred Gerson and Liz O’Neil and Randi Gerson and Sara Lesser and four grandchildren, Malcolm, Micaela, Matteo and Eden.
