Beloved husband, son, and father
Eric William Brodbeck passed away September 17th surrounded by his loving family.  Through the years, he bravely shared his journey.  His courage in battling cancer surprised no one but inspired all.  He will be truly missed and as Eric often said, laugh harder, love harder, and Live Strong.
Eric was born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in Randolph, N.J.  He graduated from the University of Dayton and was employed by Lexis Nexis. Eric lived his life to the fullest.  He loved the beach, the Yankees, watching his kids play sports, swimming with his dogs, but most of all he loved to spend time with his family.  Eric will be remembered for his wisdom, bravery, wit, and humor, but most importantly for his love for his family.
Eric is survived by wife Angela Hendrix Brodbeck and his children Ryan William (9), Tyler Nicholas (7) and Madelyn Kathleen (3).  He is also survived by his parents Robert and Judith Brodbeck, and his siblings Karen and her husband Alan Katz, Leslie and her husband Dave O’Connor, Stephanie Brodbeck, Meredith and her husband Kevin Kennedy, along with numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, his dog Allie, and his many, many friends.
Visitation will be held at O’Boyle Funeral Home, 309 Broad St., Bloomfield, N.J. on Thursday, September 22 from 4 to 8 p.m.  The funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Avenue, Bloomfield, N.J. at 10 a.m.   In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Brodbeck childrens’ education.  Make checks payable to Meredith Kennedy, 814 Harding Street, Westfield, NJ 07090.
