Glenys L. Wynne, 91 of East Orange passed away peacefully on June 12, 2020. Born in London, Glenys lived most of her adult life in Maplewood and South Orange before moving to East Orange 15 years ago. Having left the UK as a young newlywed, she had great empathy and interest in giving a home to foreign students far from their families. She was a Welsh-proud lady with style, she loved to entertain, and she unhesitantly shared her sense of humor, sass, and love with her big “family”. She never forgot a birthday. Cigarettes, and a little Penderyn every now and then, were her signature. She was a devoted member of The Strollers, and enjoyed her cruises, gardening, and reading. Glenys was proud of her career as a medical assistant in various offices, working for Dr. Abel in Elizabeth in her later years. Glenys was predeceased by her husband The Reverend T. Francis Wynne. She is survived by her children Vivienne (and Selwyn), Fiona, Timothy, and Michael (and John), her grandchildren Simon, Helen, Nicola, Tonia, Anika, Mallory, her great grandchildren Lois, James, Adam, Freya, Sean, Megan, Kace, Bliss, Wyland, and her great great grandchild Ella Rae. Funeral was private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Strollers in Maplewood, https://www.thestrollers.org/donations. Arrangements by Preston Funeral Home, South Orange
