Helen L. Boyden (nee Busteed) 96, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the Waterview Center in Cedar Grove.
A funeral mass will be offered at Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Interment will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair. Please express condolences at
Born in Hornell, N.Y., she lived in Bloomfield before moving to Verona in 1997 and resided this past year at the Waterview Center in Cedar Grove.
She worked for the Foundation for the Blind, Annin Flag Co. and then Sacred Heart Church until her retirement after 20 years with them.
Throughout her life, Helen loved to travel, was an avid reader, and enjoyed working on many volunteer projects.
She was the wife of the late Robert L. Boyden for 28 years, mother of Diane McDole and her husband James, Grace Caramagna and her husband Richard and the late Thomas R. Boyden PFC, US Marine Corps, who was killed in action in Vietnam in 1967. She was the sister of Donald Busteed and also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, all of whom were the love of her life.
