Joseph A. Bello, 78, of Trivoli, IL died at 11:23 am, April 3, 2016 surrounded by family. He was born January 6, 1938 in Jersey City, NJ to Americo and Irene (Raimondo) Bello. He married Betty A. Gnatz on July 26, 1958. She preceded him in death on September 28, 2015. Surviving are five daughters, Joanne Flatt of Louisville, KY, Irene Way, Helene Conklin, Barbara DiMarsico, and Kathy Bello all of Farmington, IL; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dominick Bello, of NJ.
Joseph served his country proudly as a United States Marine, and then served his community 28 years with the Jersey City Police Department. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Jersey City, NJ and also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Services will be at 11 AM on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, IL. Father Dennis Spohrer will be the officiate. Burial to follow services at Trivoli Cemetery in Trivoli, IL. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Friday, April 8, 2016 at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Donor’s choice.
