J’San Drobinski, beloved wife of predeceased Paul Drobinski, and loving mother of Susan (Nicholas Souin), Matthew, and pets Roscoe and Bruno started her journey back to the Lord on Friday, September 20, 2019. Born in Newark, New Jersey, to mother Marie and father José, on January 19, 1946, J’San was a devoted and kind woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
J’San (sometimes better known as Jan) met many of her life-long friends during her schooling in Northern New Jersey- most notably at Essex County Vocational High School for Girls- where she took up classes in the Business Department. J’San loved to reminisce over the stories of the past with these dear friends who remained so close to her throughout the whole of her life. J’San also had a passion for singing and acting for which she went to theatrical school at The Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. J’San was proud to have performed in several off-Broadway plays and maintained her love of plays and movies. J’San was always a thoughtful and generous woman of deep faith who displayed her passions through the many groups she was active with throughout her life.
J’San was always active in the church being a long-time Catechist teacher, member of the Rosarian Society, and member of the church choir at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield and more recently St. Martha’s Church in Point Pleasant.
J’San also enjoyed being a member of the Bloomfield Woman’s Club where she participated in many local service projects. J’San had also joined up with the St. Peter’s Support Group in River Edge, New Jersey where she met many dear friends with whom she traveled on several wonderful adventures throughout the country.
Just two years ago J’San retired from twenty-five years of employment as a merchandiser for Hallmark Cards. Last year J’San moved from her home in Bloomfield to Point Pleasant, New Jersey which had previously been a vacation home. J’San always maintained a positive and upbeat attitude throughout her battle with cancer and will be remembered for her loving kindness to all.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the ASPCA, an organization which her children have chosen because of her love for animals.
