Kathleen Olivia Bryson

Kathleen Olivia Bryson 72, wife of the late William Joseph Bryson Jr., of West Orange, passed away in Dover on Dec. 11, 2019.
Kathleen was previously employed by the City of Newark in the Budget office, Manpower, and was the sole owner The Children’s Showcase Clothing Boutique. A true Renaissance Woman, Scholar, Academic, Fashionista, Boy and Girl Scout Leader, St. Joseph’s Rosary Society Member, Epicurean/Gourmet Cook, lover of Nature and avid Gardner. She delighted in expanding her knowledge of the world, and loved nothing more than cooking and traveling the world with her children. She was a true inspiration to everyone she met. She will be deeply missed.
Kathleen is survived by her son, Victor, and daughters, Tanya and Jennifer. She is also survived by her brothers Michael E. Jones and James Oliver Jones Jr. as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Grace and James Oliver Jones Sr., sister Anne Jones and identical twin sister Carol Chester.
All are invited to attend a memorial gathering Friday, Dec. 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dangler Funeral Home in West Orange. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church in West Orange Saturday, Dec 21 at 11a.m. Kathleen’s favorite quote was “The best preparation for the future is the present well seen to, and the last duty done.”
