Kim Cuc Ngyuen-Dang

Kim Cuc Ngyuen-Dang, 81, of Bloomfield, NJ entered into the loving embraces of our Lord Jesus Christ and His Loving Mother Mary on April 10, 2021. She was born in Hue, Vietnam and was the wife of the late Yen Dang. She is survived by her son Sean (Nhan) and his wife Mai Nguyen, her daughter Thuy, her daughter Trang, her son Mike and his wife Kristine Lehr, her son Vinh and his wife Lulu Pagan, and her daughter Phuong (Ly) and her husband Jeff Gajewski; her grandchildren whom she held dear to her heart: Christine, Justin, Madison, Tyler, Skylar, Tyson, Jaxon and Quinny.
Only having a grade school education did not stint this amazing woman. She worked hard and later successfully owned her own business in Vietnam. She was a truly vibrant and vivacious woman. She always had a polite smile on her face, yet was tough as nails. After starting a family, she had hopes of a better quality of life for her children. Kim Cuc and her husband executed an escape plan from the Vietnamese communist regime, on an overcrowded tiny fishing boat, with six children in tow; it was no easy feat, but definitely quite an accomplishment.
Being in America was a vision for many people, but success is impossible with lack of hard work. This amazing woman again devised a plan with her husband and again started a business in Manhattan; all while giving the best of herself to her kids. Even with a mere grade school level of education, she was wise, cultured and sophisticated.
Mom’s passions in life were sewing and knitting, however let’s not forget her love for her colorfully vivid and beautiful prized garden, when we later moved from Jersey City to Bloomfield. This was her oasis. The countless hours she spent there cultivating, transplanting, manicuring, and admiring her precious garden. This priceless haven that kept her mind sharp and filled her heart with peace.
As much passion as she possessed for her garden, Mom’s unconditional and endless love was for her grandchildren. The pride and joy that she has for them is insurmountable. Her love for them knew no boundaries.
Earth has just lost a wonderful person, while Heaven just received a sweet angel. Mom, you have touched so many lives and you will be missed wholeheartedly by many.
Family and Friends are invited to attend the viewing on Friday, April 16th from 4pm-8pm @ O’Boyle’s Funeral Home, 309 Broad St., Bloomfield, NJ. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 17th at 9:30am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Ave, Bloomfield, NJ.
