Luis A. Vanegas, 42, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016. Born in Belleville, Luis was a lifelong resident of Newark.
He was a member of the N.J. Army National Guard for 19 years, a helicopter mechanic, an Iraq veteran and played for the National Guard Soccer Team.
He was the father of Luis Sebastian Vanegas, son of Luis R. and Nellie Guerrero Vanegas, brother of Paquita Vanegas, Veronica Vanegas- Ortega, uncle of Mauricio, Lisa Marie and Amy Lynn Quito, Anthony, Malia and Aryanna Ortega.
