Marian Palagano

  Marian Palagano, (nee Scaglione), 89 of Bloomfield, passed away on Friday March 24, 2017 at Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge surrounded by her loving family.

  Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the O’Boyle Funeral Home, 309 Broad St. Bloomfield on Thursday at 9 AM. The funeral mass will be offered at St. Thomas The Apostle Church in Bloomfield at 10 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1-4 and 7-9 PM.   Born in Newark, Marian lived in Newark and the last 68 years in Bloomfield. She was a homemaker as well as a retired secretary for Burton, Cieri, Delsordi and Co. LLC. She previously worked part time as a Bloomfield School Traffic Guard and Cashier at the former Wedgewood Cafeteria in Montclair as well as at Bloomfield College Cafeteria.

  Marian was the beloved wife of Vito Palagano for 66 years, but together for 83 years, mother of Louise Palagano and her husband Joseph D’Arco, Maria Ferrara and her husband Albert; grandfather of John and Andrea D’Arco and Vincent Ferrara; sister of Anna (Nina) Cieri; and Aunt of Richard and Maxine Cieri and Marco Cieri.
