Miss Mary Angela Kunst, 91, passed away on April 11, 2021 at the Job Haines Home in Bloomfield.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at the Holy Name of Jesus Church in East Orange on Monday, April 19, at 10:00 a.m. Internment will be private.

Mary Angela was born on July 16, 1929, in Hammond, Indiana to the late Gerhard and Cecelia Kunst. She grew up in Nutley, then later moved to Glen Ridge. She spent the last six years in Bloomfield. Mary Angela was a graduate of Our Lady of Good Counsel in 1947 and Seton Hall University in 1958. She obtained a master’s degree in nursing education and became the director of nursing at the Winifred B. Baldwin School of Nursing in Orange, NJ. She retired in 1994. Mary Angela was also involved in many volunteer and civic organizations, including St. Barnabas Hospice, American Cancer Society, Van Vleck Gardens, Soroptimist International, Kiwanis Club, Oratorio Society, Red Cross, and countless other clubs and organizations. She especially enjoyed her church, Holy Name of Jesus, where she was a lector, choir member, Eucharistic minister, and president of the Parish Council and Liturgy Committee.
Mary Angela leaves behind her beloved sister, Charlotte Kunst, her niece, Susan Gibney, her nephew, Eddie Kunst, her grand nieces Amanda, Sarah, and Kaitlyn Gibney, and countless relatives and friends
