Mary Birge Bonbright Hendrian

Mary Birge Bonbright Hendrian, 88, passed away in Salt Lake City on October 12, 2017.
Birge was born in Englewood, NJ on July 16, 1929 to Mary Eleanor and Irving Wayland Bonbright, Jr. She married Marshall Dexter Hendrian on June 15, 1957. Marshall died in 2002. She graduated from The Dwight School, The Ethel Walker School and Bradford Junior College. Her children and their spouses survive her: Jennifer Hendrian and Steve Spaulding, Julia and Roger Lester, Marshall Jr. and Marlene Hendrian, Matthew and Yvette Hendrian. Her grandchildren also survive her: Justin Spaulding, Lara and Marshall III Hendrian, Alexandra and Kaitlyn Hendrian.
Birge lived most of her life in New Jersey and Topsham, Maine, where she loved her family, her friends and her dogs. Her life was full of travel to England and Scotland, Scandinavia, Bermuda, Australia and New Zealand. She volunteered with the Junior League, the Montclair Art Museum, and the Montclair Kimberley Academy Parents Association, to name a few. She sang with church choirs and the Canterbury Choral Society. She personified an era of manners and elegance, and built deep friendships forged with humor and tenderness.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 28 at 3pm at Central Presbyterian Church in Montclair, NJ. Donations may be made to Child fund International (Account 1201079) and Front Range Equine Rescue
