Michele Mongioi 83, passed away on Friday, October 8,2021 at Alaris Health at St. Mary’s in Orange, N.J.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the O’Boyle Funeral Home 309 Broad St. Bloomfield on Thursday at Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Born in Cerami Sicily, Mr. Mongioi resided in Bloomfield and was retired from Peerless Tube where he worked as a line mechanic. He was a proud member of the Saint Sebastian Society in Montclair, NJ. He really enjoyed singing his Italian music, dancing the night away on a Saturday night, playing soccer in his younger years, creating a beautiful garden of vegetables, and watching Italian soccer teams play each other on T.V. He also served in the military in Italy when he turned 18 years old. Michele was very dedicated to his family and friends and he loved everyone with all of his heart.
He was the husband of Maria Mongioi; father of Joseph, Angelo and Antonella Mongioi Risoli and her husband Joseph and the late Michele Mongioi; brother of Frank Mongioi and Mary Principe; grandfather of Gabriella Mongioi. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
