Paul G. Capozzoli, 58 passed away September 16th at his home in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. Visitation will take place Tuesday, September 20th from 4pm – 9pm at
O’Boyle Funeral home in Bloomfield, New Jersey. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday September 21st at 12:00pm at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield.
  Paul was born on May 18, 1958 in Teggiano, Italy. He moved to the United States with his family in 1969 and grew up in the town of Bloomfield. He graduated from Essex Catholic High School in June of 1977 and enlisted in the United State Marine Corps. He served his country proudly and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in December 1982. He was the recipient of many military awards including Rifle Marksman, Meritorious Mast and Good Conduct Medal. Paul lived his life following the Marine Corps motto “Semper Fi” and honored the military branch with dignity and pride throughout his life serving even after his discharge in volunteering with the Disabled American Veterans.
Upon his discharge Paul worked as a Network Engineer and Licensed Real Estate Associate. He was currently employed by LSSI Data Corp. formerly Volt Data Resources and Weichert Realty. Paul proudly volunteered and served on the Bloomfield Emergency Squad as a licensed EMT for over 25 years. He earned the title of First Lt. within the squad. Upon moving to Pennsylvania over 15 years ago, Paul served on the Board of Directors of the Emerald Lake Community in which he lived.
Paul will be most remembered by his family and friends as a man of honor and one who was devoted to serving mankind. You could always catch him helping others and offering his assistance to anyone who needed him the most whether it be a family member, longtime friend or mere acquaintance. His loving and caring disposition earned him a few titles including beloved son, loving brother and dedicated uncle. Nothing made him prouder or happier than to spend time with his nephews and be a part of their lives. Pictures and memorabilia reiterated his love of family, the importance of friends in his life and the kind of man who will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
   Paul wad predeceased by his mother Michela Capozzoli. Surviving are his father, Angelo Capozzoli, brother Pasquale and his wife Gabriella, sister Lucia and her husband Matthew Weber, and nephews, Pasquale and his wife Misty, Michael, Marco, Joseph, Angelo and great nephew Massimo.
