Robert J. Dougherty, 84, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019 at home in Bloomfield.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Dougherty lived in Bloomfield for the last 40 years. He was a navy veteran who served on the USS Intrepid during the Korean Conflict and worked as a self employed claims investigator.
He was the husband of Drucilla (Danni) Neff Dougherty for 32 years, father of Robert J. Dougherty and his wife Jacqueline, Kevin P. Dougherty, Kathleen Jannone and John M. Dougherty; brother of the late James Dougherty, John Dougherty and Ellen Oleysick; grandfather of Michael, Trevor, Amanda and Alexandra. He was the former husband of Barbara Brown.
