Robert M. Boyle, 78, of Maplewood, N.J., died on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.
Born in Newark, N.J., to Robert and Sophie Boyle, Robert was a graduate of the University of Bridgeport and later received his master’s degree from Montclair State University. He served in the U.S. Army, 1st Air Cavalry Division, 1965-1967. He was a teacher in the Irvington, N.J., school district for nearly 30 years and taught for several years at the Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy in Livingston, N.J.
Robert was predeceased by his parents; his beloved wife of 40 years, Rita, and his twin brother, John. Robert is survived by his daughter, Jodi; son-in-law, Matthew Kohn; grandsons and fellow Philadelphia sports fans, Adam and Justin Kohn; sister-in-law, Carol Boyle, and by the extended Kohn, Glickman and Boyle families, who cared a great deal for him.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Beth David Memorial Park, Kenilworth, N.J., under the direction of Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union, N.J.
