Robert R. Maier

Robert R. Maier, 85, passed away on November 16, 2018 at Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge.
Relatives and friends were invited to attend the funeral service at the O’Boyle Funeral Home 309 Broad St. Bloomfield on Wednesday. Interment took place at Glendale Cemetery. Please express condolences at www.oboylefuneralhome.com
Born in Montclair, he was a lifelong resident of Bloomfield.
He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a retired pipe fitter for the Asbestos Union Local 32.
Robert was Bloomfield High School’s #1 fan, attending all their athletic events.
He was the son of the late Anton and Selma Henderson Maier, brother of Susan Gallagher and her partner Sam Pico and the late Raymond Maier, brother in law of Marilyn Maier, uncle of Cheryl Hamilton, Laura Maier, Donna Maier, Raymond Maier Jr. and Diana Gallagher Mellett. He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.
